The Glic Smart Hitch utilises state of the art Artificial Intelligence and photogrammetry systems to identify the trailer hitch and locate it accurately in relation to the car tow ball.
- Our algorithms direct the driver or the car’s autonomous drive system to position the car at the hitch.
- Our App then commences the hitching sequence connecting power to the trailer as the hitch connects to the ball.

About Us
The Glic patented Smart Hitch technology facilitates the automated connection of trailers to vehicles from military logistics to connecting caravans in muddy fields.
The Ministry of Defence commissioned two military prototypes in 2019 and 2023 which enabled the software and sensor systems to be perfected.
Glic will bring the civilian product to market in 2024. The technology is patented both in the UK and Internationally, complementing the 5 years of development knowledge the team have gained.
